[Tuesday, November 27] MGM’s diversified cellar collection and food parings have always had a local impact with global reputation. In 2018, MGM MACAU’s Aux Beaux Arts, has received highest honors from three world’s leading authorities of wine – China’s Wine List of The Year Awards, The World of Fine Wine from the UK and the US-based Wine Spectator’ s Restaurant Awards. Their standards reaffirm MGM’s excellence in the quality of service and wine offerings, as well as MGM’s commitment to consolidating Macau as a Creative City of Gastronomy recognized by the UNESCO.
China’s Wine List of The Year Awards recognizes professional sommeliers’ investment in skills and resources that go into developing the best quality wine lists for Greater China’s enthusiastic food and wine public. In 2018, on top of the highest ‘Three-Glass’ Excellent Award since 2015, Aux Beaux Arts harvested two more top-tier honors: ‘Best Listing of French Wines’ and ‘Best Listing of Portuguese Wines’.
World of Fine Wine is an internationally acclaimed award-winning publication for the affluent audience of wine connoisseurs and collectors. Through the world’s most esteemed scholars with an emphasis on wine culture, The World of Fine Wine distinguished Aux Beaux Arts as offering one of the world’s most extensive wine lists in its ‘Three-Star Award’. Alongside all the contestants, Aux Beaux Arts is the first and only restaurant in Macau to receive the prestigious title of ‘Best Spirits in Asia 2018’.
Meanwhile, Wine Spectator has also given its top-tier ‘Three-Glass’ Grand Award to Aux Beaux Arts since 2015. According to Wine Spectator, the ‘Grand Award’ only recognizes 91 restaurants in the world in 2018, whose wine lists offer sophisticated selections and appeal to a wide range of wine enthusiasts.
In addition to these latest accolades, MGM MACAU’s Chinese restaurant Imperial Court has garnered the ‘Three-Glass’ award from China’s Wine List of The Year Awards, as well as the ‘Best of Award of Excellence (Two-Glass)’ from Wine Spectator, since 2015.

Housing over 2,600 labels with more than 27,000 bottles of vintages and appellations from around the world with a strength from France, Portugal and California, MGM boasts one of the most extensive wine collections at good values in Macau to suit a broad spectrum of connoisseurs and collectors. Some examples of the recommended prestigious labels, such as Sauvignon & Sémillon-based white Bordeaux Chateau d'Yquem 'Y' Ygrec; Pinot Noir made in Biodynamic Viticulture method by the Domaine Vacheron from Sancerre; and the romantic aperitif Champagne Rosé from Billecart-Salmon; can be covered at MGM’s Wine Cellar – the altar to the winemaker’s art.
