November 5 - MGM Garners 12 Wine Awards from Three Top Global Entities

[Friday, November 5] MGM has recently been crowned by internationally acclaimed wine authorities, for its comprehensive wine list and sophisticated menu pairing. Four restaurants across the two MGM resorts in Macau, including Aux Beaux Arts and Grill 58 with Western dining concepts, as well as Imperial Court and Chún with refined Cantonese delights, have garnered multiple first honors from the world’s leading authorities on wine: U.S. based Wine Spectator, China’s Wine List of The Year Awards, and The World of Fine Wine from the U.K.

The Restaurant Award Winners of Wine Spectator recognizes outlets with wine lists that offer interesting selections, that are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers. This year marks the 10th consecutive Wine Spectator award for Aux Beaux Arts, which has once again earned the pinnacle “Three-Glass Grand Award” starting from 2016. According to Wine Spectator’s criteria, only outlets with over thousand selections with immense depth and breadth of regions, producers, vintages and bottle formats are being considered on this top list. Grill 58, Imperial Court and Chún have also received the “Two-Glass Best of Award of Excellence.”

The World of Fine Wine is a global award program created in 2014 by its award-winning publication, which targets the affluent audience of wine connoisseurs and collectors. Through the world’s most esteemed scholars with an emphasis on wine culture, the organizer distinguished Aux Beaux Arts, Imperial Court and Chún with the world’s most extensive wine lists in its “Three-Star Award”, while Grill 58 is also on the list with “Two-Star Award” for its specialism and varieties.

The four restaurants have all taken home the highest honor of “Three-glass Excellent Glass Rating” under China’s Wine List of The Year Awards. Established in 1994, the Award recognizes professional wine investments in skill and resources that go into developing the best quality wine lists for China’s enthusiastic food and wine public among China, Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan. In 2021, the Awards are built by seven region panels of judges across Greater China to select the finest wine lists.

Housing over 2,300 labels with nearly 25,000 bottles of vintages and appellations from around the world, MGM boasts one of the most extensive wine collections in Macau to suit a broad spectrum of connoisseurs and collectors in its wine cellars at both MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI – the altar to the winemaker’s art.
