Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and co-organized by MGM, the “Greater Bay Area Cultural Heritage Forum – Call for Submission of Photographs of Revitalised Historic Buildings” aims to showcase the achievements of the revitalization of historic buildings in Macau from the perspective of the general public. Spanning the streets and alleys of Macau, these revitalized architectural gems have become iconic public facilities that are closely connected with the daily life of the community.
Participants have used their photography works to reveal the aesthetic values and unique charm of the revitalized historic buildings in Macau, writing a vibrant new chapter for the city. The 29 outstanding works selected by the judging panel will be exhibited at the Former Barra Slaughterhouse Site Corridor starting from late October.
Through the play of light and shadow, these photographs narrate compelling stories in our collective memories. Engaging with the artworks allows us to immerse ourselves into a dialogue with history, and explore and participate in the conservation of historic buildings in Macau, witnessing their heritage preservation and revitalization.
